Justin Time Transportation is an innovative new company whose roots are firmly established in the trucking industry.
Our president, Justin Smith, has lived and breathed refrigerated transport since his earliest days. His father founded a major refrigerated carrier in 1986, when Justin was just a boy. After high school, while earning his college degree at night, Justin joined his dad’s company—putting in nearly 2 decades working to serve the needs of customers and drivers alike.
After the family business was sold to another company, Justin stayed on for several years as the chief operating officer for the new owners. As time passed, Justin recognized the growing need for companies large enough to offer the technology, financial security, and significant capacity that customers demand, yet small enough to serve this flourishing segment in a safe and efficient manner and still provide that ‘personal touch’ that customers and team members expect and deserve. Fulfilling a lifelong dream, Justin Time Transportation was born.
In April of 2017, we acquired the assets of Dowell Transport, Inc., a coast-to-coast truckload carrier with over 45 years of service to refrigerated customers across the United States. We then assembled a leadership group that not only has immense experience, but also offers a proven track record of success as a team.
